Thank you for your wonderful presence, and for taking time to connect with me.

My mission here is to write to feed the soul and fuel the imagination. I often attempt this through contemporary fiction because it's the perfect medium for carrying sparks of life's possibilities. My stories often have extraordinary elements woven through the seams and are laced with plenty of 'what ifs?'. Apart from offering an intriguing story, I also write guides, books, and I'm the editor of Better Life Choices magazine.

Born in Lancashire in the 60s and brought up in a former blacksmith’s cottage by the river, my childhood was filled with curiosity, nature, magic, and mystery. My first taste of publication came at the age of ten when I had a letter published about the moon and my telescope. Star-gazing, and dreaming of worlds beyond, teased my imagination, as did my interest in life’s mysteries and the unexplained, and thus began a journey fuelled by fascination.

I started writing professionally in 1985, often drawing upon my experience in holistic health and well-being. My articles appeared in print and digital format worldwide.  After authoring non-fiction books and many bestselling self-development ghost-written publications, I embarked on a rich variety of creative projects involving film, poetry, prose, art, and fiction.  During this time, I experienced a deepening connection with nature, love for living creatively, and an insatiable interest in the spiritual and mysterious realms fuelled by experience. This inspired my journey as a creative writer.

In 2005, my first book of prose and poetry In Touch with the Essence won the David St John Thomas Charitable Trust awards. In 2009, I gained a place on the MA Professional Writing course with University College Falmouth, which I completed in January 2011 and passed 'with distinction'.

My debut novel, Light Weaver, was published in April 2012, and has been described by my readers as ‘exquisitely written’ and 'life-changing'. Light Weaver is the first of my contemporary novels with a fantastic theme.

When I'm not writing, you'll find me realm-hopping, exploring, researching, being in nature, living creatively, communing, and light weaving.
