Dreams Coiling on Ink-Stained Skies 04/30/2010
"In a starlit moment, the breath of the world settles on my skin, reminding me of dreams coiling on ink-stained skies. We could be so much more, a voice calls out from a distant memory. I know, and I believe in you." The gathering light of spring has been teasing me away from my writer’s nest. I have taken time out to catch up with my brother, Mark Strange. We walked and recited poetry and monologues. We discussed our respective creative projects. Time out for a writer ~ indeed for anyone ~ is essential medicine for the soul. For me, it is a chance to quieten the mind, revitalize, and gain clarity. At the moment, I am still swimming in the great sea of research, gathering more essential detail for the second draft of my novel. Not only am I researching but I’m exploring and experimenting, playing with the quantum field. I am having such fun and learning so much. I plan to be done with the research by May and then it will be time to bring The Mobile Librarian to fruition. |
